Staff is great and friendly. Work was fast. Experience overall was positive. Highly recommended by friends. I do wish that I had gotten quotes first though. Water Star told me flushing break lines as part of my 90K tune-up would be an extra $130. When I called another shop just to check on prices, they said that would have been included in their service. Lesson learned. Overall, I would recommend this shop to anyone. Everyone was really personable and seemed genuine. The shop was clean and orderly. Great business in Santa Cruz.

Thanks for the input Page. Toyota does not recommend Brake Fluid flushing on the 90K service although some shops do just include it in their service. We recommend Brake Fluid flushes based on condition of the fluid. We have the equipment to measure water content of the Brake fluid. Once it has 3% or more water we recommend replacing it. The normal standard is based on time, 2 years, not mileage. That is why we don't just include it in that service. If you don't need it we won't recommend it.Thanks for your business. Henry

It took a while to work out the problems; however, my car runs better than it has in years. I dealt with Henry and he has a wealth of knowledge on these older Mercedes cars. He will be my mechanic on this car as long as I own it and he's around.

Fixed a nagging item under warranty, no questions asked even though the vehicle hadn't been in for a while. Bill less than estimate. Water Star doesn't fix what ain't broke (yet) then stick you with the bill -- even if you tempt them too. Friendly service. Happy camper (actually an MPV).

My family takes all our cars to Water Star motors. They are great about not only giving me an estimate for what I think needs fixing, but letting me know if something drastic needs fixing that I didn't know about. They are willing to listen to me, as well as tell me what really needs fixing NOW and what can wait til the next oil change.( I am not rich) I have a long commute and depend on my car to make my living. I know I can trust the folks at Water Star and feel more safe driving my car after it has had service from them.
