Water Star Motors gouged me, acted like Keystone Kops, and ruined my vacation. AAA towed my car there when it wouldn't start. Water Star said my starter and my 6 month old battery needed replacing, total cost $775. I called my mechanic in Sunnyvale and he just laughed at that price, said he'd do it for $250. So then, after Schlepping my family and myself home BY BUS (this was on the weekend), and coming backing Monday from Sunnyvale BY BUS, Water Star hit me with a $100 charge for doing a lot of diagnostics I didn't ask for. THEN, after waiting TWO HOURS for the tow truck to arrive, the Water Star person DROVE MY CAR OUT TO MEET THE TRUCK. You read that right... they had GOTTEN THE CAR TO START after AAA initially towed it there, and NOT BOTHERED TO TELL ME on Friday, causing me a complete nightmare over the weekend. An absolutely disastrous experience, complete with price gouging and gross incompetence. Stay away at all costs.
