Took my car in. They got back to me in about 4 hours. Gave me a quote. Told them to do the work. When I picked up my car, what they estimated would be the cost was far less. That has never happened to me before. I will be coming back if I have a problem with my car.

Let's keep this direct and to the point. If you have a vehicle that you care about, this is the place to bring it. The auto technicians are absolutely amazing (I got lucky and received work from one of their best). The office manager Rebecca is superbly informative, helpful, and witty. This place is where it's at - hands down. I spent more than I wanted to today (due to my vehicle's specific issues), but am extremely glad I took my vehicle there. Would recommend over and over again, and will definitely be back for transmission service.

I have brought my car(s) to Water Star Motors for the last 15 years. Henry and Lisa are the nicest people and I completely trust them with my car--which is good, since I know next to nothing about fixing cars. I would be kind of lost without that handy little sticker in the top corner of the wind shield that reminds me when it's time for an oil change. I never thought I'd really, really like a car repair place since it seems like one of those chores that just must be done every once in a while, but I am glad a friend told me about them when I moved to Santa Cruz with my very first car. We're getting ready to move and leaving my reliable car people makes me sad. If you live in Santa Cruz, they are a gem! Your car will be in great hands!
