I had initially attempted to schedule an appointment for a routine oil and filter change and was informed that I could not bring it in that day due to solid bookings. An hour later, I got a call back from Henry informing me of a couple open slots available at my preferred time. Worked out great and concluded with efficient and thorough service performed.

Waterstar has been taking care of my vehicles since 1998. I find them to be personable, efficient, and friendly. I love that they are "green". I have sent a number of friends to them over the years and all have received excellent, high quality care.

I drove all the way from Hollister (1 hour away) to get my car fixed at Water Star, because they really are the most dependable auto repair shop. My 93 Nissan needed some major repairs, and I was not going to take a chance with anyone else - even for the convenience of proximity. Their track record is solid! My old Honda almost made it up to 300,000 miles with Water Star's help. I truly believe these guys can keep my Nissan running for at least another 100,000 miles!

I found their prices to be competitive on the replacement of my serpentine belt. I was told Continental was the longest wearing belt (7 years) , more so than Bondo or Gates(worst) and then it turned out that that they wont be making it for an automatic transmission for another 8 months. So we had to go with the Bondo which only lasts 5 years instead of 7 or so. It is this kind of knowledge, even if it did not work out, that matters to me, that the shop will investigate.They were thorough and efficient and were done ahead of time. They wanted $99 dollars for the synthetic oil change that lasts 10 years, so I went for the Castroil that only lasts 5 years, and will put the synthetic next time. i really liked how clean and organized their shop is and how friendly and relaxed the atmosphere is.

What can I add that hasn't already been said? Clean green, is a good place to start, as they are a "green business". The staff at Water Star are always friendly, quick, and well, maybe not so cheap. That's a subjective experience though, as I'm a lucky owner of a Jeep, and for those who don't know, they ain't cheap to fix. If you want a cheap repair, go on craigslist (because no shop in Santa Cruz is "cheap") and enjoy the maybe not so repaired vehicle and warranty that doesn't come with the random guy on CL. Always happy with the repairs they've done and if there is any problem with the repair after, they will take a look at it, no hassle. Rebecca always makes me feel like I've been very well taken care of; Henry and Lisa are always sending a smile when I see them there. Thanks Water Star for being a top quality repair shop!
